Dylan Hotel

Of all the Amsterdam hotels, arguably the most glamorous is the Dylan hotel, which may be known by some Amsterdam hotels as Blakes. The hotels interior was created by Anouska Hempel, an interior designer whose typical bold and dramatic style can be seen in almost every room within the hotel.

Those bold trendy visitors to the nine street district will be looking for Amsterdam hotels nearby, and it’s hard to fault the Dylan hotel, which is located in the Canal Ring, and gives users a vast choice of restaurants and bars to spend their evenings in.

The hotel itself is not the biggest of the Amsterdam hotels, with just 41 bedrooms, although visitors will be hard pressed to find 41 better decorated hotel rooms in the city. Each room is individually designed, with a variety of styles in each one. The majority of the rooms in the hotel boast four poster beds, and provide a perfect romantic setting for an anniversary trip away.

Away from the rooms of one of the finest Amsterdam hotels  you will find the restaurant, Vinkeles, which as you would expect for a hotel like this, has a Michelin star to its name. You can also rent bikes from the hotel staff, while you’re not working out in the hotel gym. Unlike many Amsterdam hotels, you can also take advantage of the in-room massage service.

In the warmer months the courtyard is a lovely place to eat and drink at the hotel, although expect your stay to set you back around £150 a night for a standard room, and at least double that for a suite. Despite the price, the Dylan Hotel is arguably one of the finest Amsterdam hotels, and is thought of in Amsterdam in the same way the Ritz is revered in London.

Those looking to stay on business will not rule this out over other Amsterdam hotels, as it has fast internet and a business centre for all of your meetings, and there is arguably no better place in Amsterdam to impress potential clients with fine food, wine and location. With the Dylan Hotel being one of the closest of the Amsterdam Hotels to the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, you will truly feel like you are royalty for your stay.
